Medically speaking, Dysport is a botulinum neurotoxin (abobotulinumtoxinA), an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent. It temporarily prevents specific muscle movements that cause frown lines. In specific, a single injection goes into 5 separate points between and above the eyebrows. This temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines. It leaves the rest of your face alone so it can move naturally. Put simply, clients don’t wind up with a frozen-faced look. The most common side effects are nose and throat irritation, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea.

Restylane fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that attracts and binds water molecules to create volume. Results are immediate. Many Restylane products contain a local anaesthetic, lidocaine, to provide a more comfortable treatment experience. Some people report experiencing mild discomfort.
Restylane is injected into the skin using very fine needles. On average, a treatment takes between 15 to 30 minutes. The results generally last from 6 to 9 months, depending on the patient’s metabolism and other factors. Lip treatments last 3-4 months.
Common side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, itching at the injection site, and impaired hand function. These are typically mild in severity and end in a few days. Serious but rare side effects include delayed onset infections, recurrence of herpetic eruptions, and superficial necrosis at the injection site.
One of the risks with using this product is unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, the complications can be serious, and may be permanent. These complications, which have been reported for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin.
